Time to update this thread now the second spike is also blooming.

The oldest spike has already produced blooms two times this year and will bloom at least one more time.

The newest spike will produce at least two sets of blooms.

Brooke,
I was not familiar with this species before reading your post. It's very beautiful and interesting too. Your photos are fantastic, especially the first one.

Thanks very much for your post!

By the way, do you know the name of Dwayne's nursery?

David, I think it's just called The Dowery. THE****************************** DOWERY****************************** ORCHID****************************** NURSERY Unfortunately due to health issues he has closed the greenhouse for the summer. The notice on his website says he will reopen in the fall.

My doweryensis opened the 11th flower since mid of april. There are only 2 or 3 flowers open at one time.
