Phalaenopsis lamelligera Female
Default Phalaenopsis lamelligera

First bloom, got it from Big Leaf a couple months ago. Smells like smokey honey (my daughter’s description).

Very nice! I almost bought one from them recently when they were on sale, but they sold out. May try one later. What are your growing conditions? I'm a windowsill grower. Not sure this will work or not. Thank you!

Because I got it from Peter pretty recently, it remains to be seen how it will like my conditions! But I grow other related species (like cornu-cervi) so it will probably do fine. It is on a set of shelves covered by a clear tent where I try to maintain 80s during the day and 70s at night. Humidity 50-70 percent. In winter it is a bit cooler and drier, but not much. They get reverse osmosis water with weak k-lite (6 percent) every watering. The phals get misted twice a day… controversial, but seems to be working for me and helps maintain the humidity in the tent.

How often do you water your cornu-cervi? Is it mounted? My lamelligera has been a challenge for me, I need to try something different with it.

Same conditions as above. Both Cornu-cervi and lamelligera are in plastic pots with medium bark and perlite.
