Phalaenopsis philippinensis blooming
I had counted over 100 buds, I'm not sure how many have bloomed but its quite a show. It is one plant, but its one plant with a few basal keikeis connected, its not too clear where each spike comes from
gorgeous pink and yellow. I bought it a little over a year ago and this is the first time flowering for me. Theres also the stuartiana in the background which is bautiful but a little more subtle.

That is gorgeous! I was surprised to see pink, since I think of this species as white (one of the foundation species of many, many hybrids.) I looked it up... These do open with a pink blush, which tends to become pure white later. So don't be surprised if floweres turn white - when they will still be spectacular. I suspect that there is a yellow pigment in the petals that develops more slowly, that washes out the pink when it does. Nature does amazing things!
