Your thread reminds me that I should resize and post the pictures I have been taking of my orchid blooms. Maybe after the bud opens on that small Cattleya that will have its first bloom (hopefully a nice one).

It's a bit disappointing but to be honest, it's still a very good plant.
It is super vigorous and it seems the flowers will have a very good shape, and will be pretty flat for javanica's standards.
A word of caution for people interested in trying to cross their plants; breeding a first time bloomer is likely to go wrong and should be avoided.
