I have had no success locating Phal lindenii in any form; plant, compot, or flask. I appreciate any help or suggestions in locating.

Pretty sure Louisiana Orchid Collection has some Louisiana Orchid Connection

Send them a mail, they don't have everything listed.

Will do. I have been to their site before, but never seen lindenii. In looking again, they did have a 6-pack of seedlings (sold out), so encouraging. I did find a sanderiana though. Very nice👍 Thanks

Also, Andy's Orchids may have it. The website only shows a small fraction of the available species. (In genaral, the more popular ones, that he has in some quantity) So if there's something that you want, and it isn't there, send him an email and ask.

I had sent them an email a couple weeks ago, but have not heard back. Maybe a phone call would be better. Thanks

Do be persistent... Andy is not the best in the world for staying on top of emails even in normal times, and I think he's now running on very reduced staff due to COVID. So, definitely, call as well as email again.

I do not have first hand experience on Phal lindenii, but I've been told by several growers that they're tricky to keep in the long run.

Apparently they get heat stress very easily, the temperature of their habitat being 22-24°C day and 10-12°C night.

If you find one (or more), I'd be very interested in getting periodical updates on it (them)!

Supposedly the, or one of the, most cool growing phals, but do not let that put you off! Go for it!

I bought a small plant about six months ago and now when summer is about to start here (daily low was 25 deg C yesterday night) it is about to flower. Even on a very cold winter night it does not go below 14-15 degrees C here. Maybe I have been lucky, but my personal experience is better too warm than too cold. We’ll see if my plant is still happy a year from now ;-)

Get yourself a plant if you find one.

I got one from Santa Barbara Orchid Estate about three years ago. I neglected it last summer so it didn’t flower for me last year, but it’s been pretty hardy. I’ve grown it both indoors and outdoors but, I think outdoor growing was tough on it with the cold nights. At Santa Barbara Orchid Estate they kept it in one of their heated green houses and their plants out paced mine in growth. It may be worth contacting them as well to see if they still have some available.

Thanks for the culture tidbits. They don’t have any, but I have located 2 plants and they are on the way. 🤞
