Phalaenopsis deliciosa var. hookeriana - first bloomer!
This is Phalaenopsis deliciosa var. hookeriana. It's a recent purchase (Marlow). This is its first bloom for me and it looks like it has a few more in the queue.
Besides the blooms, I love the look of this orchid. It has lovely scalloped leaves and lots of wild roots.

That's a stunner, congrats!
The shape of the flower is really round and regular, so nice. And those leaves...
It is not var. hookeriana though, those are yellow

Really??! Marlow has this tagged as hookeriana and listed on their website as hookeriana.
As I google the varieties I am finding pictures and descriptions that are consistent with your comment. Thanks for pointing this out.
I am happy with the orchid no matter what the variety is, but it's work a call to Marlow to clarify!

I finally called Jonathan at Marlow to ask whether this is really a hookeriana, and if so, why the blooms are white rather than yellow.
He says this is indeed a hookeriana. The reason it's white is because it's its first blooming. He said to expect the typical color that Mr. Fakename pointed out with subsequent blooms.
Ya' learn something new every day.

I couldn't resist another post. This now has 2 flowers with a promise of many more to come.
I also just want to mention that Marlow has 27 of these in stock. That's where this came from. Get 'em while you can.

That is absolutely charming! Mine just bloomed for the first time but I think it’s a different variety or maybe the regular one? Maybe mislabeled? Not sure. It’s much more of a pale yellow. I love the wavy leaves though (or leaf... mine only has one leaf right now. I probably did something stupid like let it get too dry). I think I need to pick up another one from Marlows and stick it in the terrarium. It’s just too cute
