Unusual pine cone ginger flowers
Default Unusual pine cone ginger flowers

These ginger flower stalks (don't know the technical term) rise straight out of the ground independent of the leaf stalks. Then the individual little flowers break out of the cone structure. They last for months and are great as cut flowers. I think this is zingiber zerumber.
