solid purple roots
Exclamation solid purple roots

hello all im new to the forms and i would call my self a novice to the hobby. i have a Renanthera 'john losgar' (imshootlana x citrina) that as developed purple roots, not just the tips, but the whole roots themselves have turned purple. ive had it for about 3 months now potted in a mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and charcoal in a clear plastic pot (of course with ventilation slits on the sides and bottom). It was previously potted in gravel.
Can anyone help me guess whats wrong with it? im hoping the roots are just dying becuase of the change of environment/media, but im also scared its a fungal/ virus infection. There are new roots growing however that seem to be perfectly fine. they are not purple whatsoever.
