Flowers from backbulbs in water
Last March I posted about rooting backbulbs in water. Both of the plants have now flowered in a year or less.
The blue one below is the first one I did - started just about a year ago in November. It is Bc Lois McNeil 'Hilo.' (I thought it was Walnita Char but obviously not). It eventually developed three pbs, and flowered on the third one. The next one is Bc Korch Wallis, which was started in February this year and bloomed in October. It was a fun experiment and it worked!

Excellent! I did not know you could do that. Can you link to that thread where you did the explaining?

If I knew how to link I would. My original post was on March 18, 2016 and also more in a thread on Sept. 7 entitled forcing roots on old canes by daddydoall. You can find them by searching my name.

It's easy to find posts if you know username and date. It's also easy to put an Orchid Board link into a message. Here's how.
Use the Search function in the maroon menu bar above. Select Advanced. Put in the username and, on the left, adjust the dates to search. Now scroll through the threads, which will be displayed most recent to oldest.
To paste a link into another message, right-click on the thread name. Select Copy link address or Copy. Now go to your message. When the cursor is where you want to insert the link, right-click and select Paste as plain text or Paste. There are fancier ways to do it but this works.
In this case,

I think you're very smart and perfectly capable of learning trifling little things.
