Thanks to my friends on orchid board who encouraged me to water more after spikes appeared late winter I had a few beautiful blooms this year. The plant has been in the same pot for 3 years now. Any new growth will be outside the pot hat this point. Should I repot? The center of the plant is just old canes. Could I separate it and when would be the best time ? Some of the new growths last year were well over a foot in length and there were at least 6 of them Also would a med bark mix (cattleya)work for repotting?

A picture would help but yes as it has been in the pot for 3 years. It is defiantly time. I think also that the bark mix will be fine. I have never divided one yet so I'm not much help there.

Move it when it starts making new root growth.
