Laelia lobata var. concolor on a tree
This one lives on a tree next to the grh. It is a piece of a concolor variety of Laelia lobata that I've been growing for long time. There's another piece, also in flower, living on another tree; the main plant is in a pot in the grh and interestingly, did not flower.

How fun,
I like the delicate coloring. There was a house I lived by in Kauai that had all kinds of orchids growing on all of the trees on the property, I love seeing them so happy in the fresh air. One day I'll have a yard like that!

I wish I had the temps to do that 
Here, we still get a little too cold to keep them outside in winter so I'll just enjoy yours, as always  |

We also have very low temps here in winter, Susanne, as low as 43F. These lobatas have absolutely no protection facing the cold winds without problems. |

Very low temps? 
It was 22F when I woke up this morning. We will be getting down to zero or below by the time winter is over. |

My dad grew his cats in pots placed in branches in his Orange trees in St. Petersburg, FL. Since then, the 'chids have all moved over to Lutz where they grow in the same pots never transplanted or repotted, at my sister's house. |
