shakkai is right. they sell a variety ceramic tile drill bits at just about any big box store. tape up the pot and drill away. any of my chids that like a lot of air movement around the roots i put in clay pots and drill holes in them. works like a charm. what kind of idea do you have?

I'm kind of thinking about drilling through sake cups..... but I don't know how well that will work. I'd have to find the right cups too.....

But it would look really neat to have the set of sake cups and a sake bottle to mount neos

An awesome idea!

I've been seeing lots of tiny sake cups and tea bowls too. . .and they would be perfect with the addition of a drainage hole. . . or four.

If you added a block of wood on the other side of the hole to press against (lightly), as you are drilling, I bet it would add a bit of support to the bottom of the pot. And support the surface of the pottery, so, along with the tape on both sides, you might not have any chipping or little ceramic flakes.
