Today's update is that a third new growth/spike thing has appeared under another pseudobulb. The first two have grown bigger, but I am still unsure what they are! I don't think I've ever experienced this type of uncertainty for so long!

This plant is kept pretty wet during the summer. It's in a plastic basket with bark and sphagnum moss, so it gets air circulation around the roots even when dripping with water. It is kept much dryer in winter - fungus is always a concern.

I have four Bulbo species, and all four grow in a similar fashion: new growth in spring, bloom in autumn. After blooming, they do nothing for a few months as water, humidity, and light duration and intensity is reduced. My plants start showing new growth in March/April.
I can't answer your question from experience but I can say that my friends with greenhouses start seeing things happen about two months before me. For example, I'll expect
Bulbo medusae blooms in mid-November, but a greenhouse grower friend has already had her blooms come and go.
