I will also add, that when watering, be very careful to not get the new growths wet, they do rot fairly easily if u get them wet... I learned that they hard way the first time I tried to grow one... But now, I have a few, and they are really very easy growers with good culture (which should be practiced anyways). I have been successful with one of them in S/H culture, even re-bloomed it in S/H, if you wanted to try that... Also have some doing beautifully (also re-blooming), in coarse bark as well.

...they are not a rare species tho, as far as I know. Dont know if you got that from eBay, b/c I've noticed a lot of sellers claim that about *every* species they sell
