I noticed you live in SF and we both get water from Hetch Hetchy which works well for orchids.

I didn't realize that our water was more beneficial, is it because there are less salts and minerals in the water?

Yes, thats what I've been told. Not sure how good it is for humans, but the orchids and koi at my home do well with it.
