Dorothy, very nicely put and I'm in total agreement with all of your points. Like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinion and what fun would it be if no one stated it? Thats how we gain information on this forum. But whether missmolly realized it or not her post came off as offensive to some of us because of how it was stated. I like this forum on the whole because of all the people that give praise and encouragement to others. I certainly wouldn't call it brown-nosing! I know that where I live there are no nearby orchid societies or even anyone in my town that I personally know that grows orchids. When someone down the street comes over they don't drool over my collection. They don't even know what they are looking at! Thats why I love it on here. I have a bunch of orchid lovers that will give me a sense that I'm not alone in my crazy hobby! I just wanted to add my thoughts on the subject. Also maybe check out Composting | Wastes | US EPA because whatever your thoughts on manures and such you can't argue with the impact you can make if you compost! And when you buy manure and bat guano it is already composted and aged so is safe to use in your garden. At least all the ones I have personally seen for sale.
