a couple of questions

I am hoping someone can help me out. The question is regarding a cym. I have posted about this cym about a month ago wondering if it's new growth is a spike or a new pbulb, (as it has grown quite a bit since then). I will be happy either way, as this is my first yr growing cyms it has been a learning curve. I think that it is a spike, but this cym had no cool down and had lost alot of it's roots, so I kept it in the house. My other cym that has 8 pbulbs and has been outside every night since spring and has done nothing. I decided to bring it in tonight. It has had 1 and a half months of 5 degree celcuis temps, maybe next yr . Anyway hopefully the whatever it is has grown enough so someone can tell me (the suspense is killing me). Thanks a bunch!

The end is hollow and has a sap stuff on it since it started growing
