It's only seven more!
Like come on, I only just ordered another seven 'chids from Cloud's! It is almost winter and I won't be able to order any more from them! The suckish thing is that I missed the deadline for order submission in order for them to get shipped out on Mon 19th, so I have to wait until Mon 26th for them to be shipped, so they should get here on the 28/29th. I got the following:
MT-LS Angcm. didieri $20
MS Enc. gracilis $15
SS (Lc. Lucky Charms 'SVO' x Mark Jones 'SVO' HCC/AOS) $10
MS Lc. Meadow Gold #10
BS Lctn. Lawless Gloriana 'Yellow' $20
MT-BS Phal. lobbii $20
MS Slc. Smile Again 'Hawaii' AM/AOS $15
All I have to say is that I absolutely LOVE Cloud's, and even though they don't always have a bunch of in bloom 'chids, they have an AWESOME selection, and most of them are very cheap, and are larger than listed, ie. SS are really MS, MS are almost LS, etc. There plants are also VERY VERY healthy!!! OHHH!!! I just love them and I am so happy they are Canadian!!!

Cody, you've gotta be near running out of shelf space as it is? Who's closet did you purchase for these groups? Looks like a nice haul. The lobbii should be great, and I've got a soft spot for didieri... should it ever bloom something other than roots. Good luck!

I think these ones are going to bring me pretty close to having them busting out of my closet!!! But, come spring, or even during the winter, I hope to expand my growing space by building another stand for in my bedroom, which will be for my int/warm growers, as it will have pretty close to the same cond. as my closet, and then another in the basement, which I will be able to use for cool growers like Masdies, Paphs, and maybe even some Dends.

Yeah, we had a cold snap on Mon-Tues, were it went to about -5C (high 20sF-ish) overnight, so I started freaking out thinking it would be too cold to wait until the last shipping date on Oct 3rd. Thankfully I just got my cheque, and my older brother owed me money, so I quickly put the order in! This will be my last non-OS order for the year, unfortunately.

Cody, I beat you to it. I received my last shipment for the season yesterday: a phal lobbii, a phal lowii, a hybrid, the last restrepia striata , an angraecum didieri (my 2nd one), an aerangis modesta. They are great. I think I'll make it through to the Calgary show. Unfortunately it means that now I really have to sell/give away any orchid that is not mini!

It is a great selection. Looking forward to your pictures. I like Clouds too, their phals and vandas I recently got are so lush and healthy.
I ordered phal lobii (along with 9 more chids ), but from Ten Shin Gardens to pick up at Montreal show in October. They also have cross of lobii with tetraspis with such cute blooms, so I had to get that one too. And that's while waiting for my 6 phals from Kingfisher order to arrive!
I really hope winter comes soon, so I could stop buying.

Great haul! I've heard a lot of great things about Cloud,s and I'm not even on the right continent lol. Wish I could go on a shopping frenzy like you, but even with a salary I can't afford to buy so many if I still want to pay bills and such afterward! But I do have an orchid show in 2 weeks to look forward too, and another small order soon.

The grass is always greener on the other side! We can get so envious here of the wide selections available in Europe and the States, and there are so many growers! Buying just 1 or 2 at a time doesn't make much sense as far as shipping is concerned, and few growers ship between the end of September and mid-end May. It is still expensive, and most of us need to save up for them. That makes it so exciting to get them!

I sympathize with you, Ezil. I now am going to buy only miniatures as well. Just started the new trend with a schoenorchis at the orchid society meeting.
Enjoy those new orchids, Cody! I like your plans to expand! Maybe when my teens leave the nest permanently, I can create a plant room and grow plants under lights but for now, I have to be nice and keep my plants out of their rooms (and they have south-facing windows!!!).
Have fun, everyone, with the new orchids!
