I kept my plant is a little more shade than normal. When I wrapped it up it had two tiny little nubs that looked like they may be the beginning of some roots, but they hadn't even popped through the surface. During the time of year this was happening, it was very hot which allowed the spag to dry out daily. I would water in the am, it would be dry by day end and then I would just mist it lightly to give a slight bit of moisture to it. It succeeded, but eventually I lost the plant to other issues.
I have never used special water. Just regular tap or rainwater when I have it collected. I used superthrive when I fertilize and soaked with superthrive maybe once a week. A very little bit, but I did use some.
