Claude, It looks great! I love the thrid pic, like a little oasis. Congrats!

What company/greenhouse did you decide on? Any tips for those on the lookout for one?

Congrats Claude on the new GH. I really like the way you used the shelving standing on end for mounted orchids great idea. Where is the northwest are you? I live in Central Oregon. I had to get Aluminet to cover my GH even though it was frosted.

Have Fun!!

Royal, thanks. It is HF 6 x 8 (modify to 5 x 8). I'm cheap I took advantage of a 20% off coupon whilst it was on sale for $349.99. I think I paid around $305. Total spent is less than $400. DH modify the roof so we can walk to the other side of narrow strip of garden (with my 2 tiny veggie patches I make fulll use of every inch of land I have

Seridian, thanks. I am in North Bothell, WA. As the shelving screen, I copy the idea from someone who posted in the past. I thought the same thing too when I saw it. Very utilitarian. I used both side of the shelving. The greenhouse get direct sun from 10:30am till 2:00pm, then a couple hour of evening sun from about 5:30 to 7:00pm. So far the temp is between 62 - 72. Humidity is averaging 60%. My worry is what to use to insulate for winter!

Not to worry Claude...you might take a look at Aluminet from Farmtek online. They are great folks to deal with. That is where I got my Aluminet from it keeps the GH from getting to warm in summer (we get hot here most summers 105) and in winter it insulates keep heat in. You might have to use a small heater in winter.
My GH is a solar fiberglass one piece with storm doors on each end. It came with wooden benches. Its great fun having a GH I find myself out there just staring at the orchids...

Do you plan on putting a misting system in?
