Thats wonderful! I really need to try one of these some time. As far as the other goes, I see the alternative to keeping the leaf in sphag is death. So uhmm, following that logic, I would say keep it in the sphag until either the sphag rots, the leaf rots, or the leaf has tons of roots and a new growth. Which ever comes first.
