Den. Thanas Blue

Have you seen it in flower, because I can't find Thanas Blue on the RHS search site to see it's parentage?. I'm curious if it blooms from the apex or from the sides of the pb's. Some dens are deciduous and it could be normal that you are losing the leaves and you would drastically cut back watering for the winter so you could wait till spring to repot. Otherwise I normally grow all my dens in a chopped coco shell mix.
