I'm not really sure about the rubbing alcohol. I know it's often used to kill various pests on orchids. I supposed it wouldn't hurt to use a little on a paper towel or cotton ball and wipe down the leaves since you have new arrivals. If you don't have a problem I wouldn't keep doing it though. I would think that it may be too drying on the leaves if you do it on a regular basis. If you just want to shine up the leaves use lemon juice. It works great! Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.
