The pictures will tell the story. I'd just like to know if anyone else has had this happen.
Leave it to me to get a weird-o! Two pictures in this album....

Well, maybe nothing I guess. I've just never read or heard of a brand new spike (not an old one that has been cut back) throwing out two keikis and buds at the same time. Don't new spikes usualy have buds, then bloom and then you can cut the spike back to hopefully grow keikis or a blossom branch?
And a new crown/keiki? coming out of the center of the plant.....it's never had crown rot..
But then, that's why I posted it, to learn..
AL
Hi Dorothy, that's not a foliage chid. If you check the picture carefully, you'll see the spike is growing from the side, and that the crown is still fine
That's freaky looking Al! I have one with a double crown that's pretty freaky too. You have one very confused plant! Might be one of the side effects of over cloning things.
But if you get too discouraged, you can "toss out" one of those keiki's my way!
Gwen, if you can remember to remind me you may have one of the keiki's. My memory is worthless so don't be shy. I have no idea how long it will take for them to get some roots but I'm going to name the bottom one "Gwen" to jog the few brain cells I have left.
