Australian Dendrobium Season Female
Default Australian Dendrobium Season

The season for temperate-zone Australian Dentrobiums is in full swing at my house. Here is one little area with some variety - Den. speciosum ssp. grandiflorum which I have shown before, and some other members of the family.

Den.Benizuru Treasure 'Lorelei' is s super-vigorous Den. kingianum hybrid.

Den Australian Artist is a complex hybrid that is about half Den. speciosum, a bit under 20% Den. kingianum, and a mix of other species. I love the contrasting lip.

Den. x delicatum, a natural hybrid of Den speciosum and Den. kingianum (in this case the alba form). The human-made version of this is more correctly named as Den. Specio-kingianum. A widely-spreading cloud of white flowers. (When made with pink and magenta forms of Den. kingianum, flowers can be various shades of pink.)

Den. x ruppiosum - a natural hybrid of Den. speciosum x Den. jonesianum.
