Question about S/H
Default Question about S/H

Hello guys, I want to try S/H with a mini Phalaenopsis, but first I want to be sure, I do things right this time.
I use tap water PH 7.4, 200-250 ppm (sometimes go lower 150-170ppm).

I use a liquid fertilizer 1ml/L at 2 weeks in warmer months and 1 time per month in winter. Recommended dose on label is 5ml/3L.

Chemical formula is: N:3,5%; P2O5:5,5%; K2O:6,5%
B:0.01%, Cu:0.002%, Fe:0.03%, Mn:0.01%, Mg:0.01%, Mo:0.001%, Zn:0.002%.

You think my tap water is not good for S/H? I have big chances to burn orchids roots?
Is somebody here who try Plagron Euro Pebbles ( I think they are perfect round...)? Are good for S/H?

Please excuse my english, is not my native language.

Semi-hydroponics does not have any different requirements for water or fertilizer when compared to more traditional culture methods.

Go for it!

Question about S/H Male
Default House water softner

I understand a house water softner is not good for plants. I turn my water softner off and Drain 5 gallon cold water to get water softened water out of the lines. I’m curious I use Best Growth fertilizer 3-3-3. Could I add another fertilzer to get new root and leaf growth? What would you recommend?
