The blasted-blasting continues... I had one mini phal in spike, each bud began to swell, then one by one blasted. Now at the tip of the spike, it is growing keiki! Grr.

I have a new cattleya that arrived in sheath, developed three buds - even started to show some color - blasted!

Now my Sederia japonica is in spike... how can make it bloom??!

Any chance there is air blowing on the plants, either a cold draft or from a heating register?

Bud blast can also happen with insufficient watering. When you're beginning it can be hard to learn how much to water without overwatering, but letting plants get too dry in bud is a near-sure way to blast buds.
