I have these tiny swimming bugs in my water reservoirs. They loook like really tiny tadpoles or tiny sperm. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions about this? Is this a problem? What should I do!!!!?!

Sounds like mosquito larvae. They won't hurt your plants, but..........

If there is any chance they are mosquito larvae, you need to dump out ALL the water in the reservoir onto a cement surface so they can dry out and die.

I think you must not be watering properly.

If you fill the pot rapidly and let it drain, it's hard for anything to stay in there.

Hey. I think maybe they are mosquitos?? Odd time of year for them to show up?

I do water fast from the top and let the reservoir fill.

Are you filling the entire pot to the top, or just until the reservoir is filled?

I keep saucers under all my potted plants and so I buy mosquito bits for the saucers and that works very well to prevent mosquito issues.

In over 25 years of growing plants in S/H culture, I’ve never had insects in the reservoir.

What exactly do you mean by water reservoirs? Do you mean trays or saucers under the plants or do you collect and store rain water in some sort of container? It might help determine what they could be.
