Default Cymbidium in S/H ??

I noticed on the numerous S/H plant lists, there are no Cymbidiums - is there a reason for this, other than the fact that nobody has tried yet?

I have one that is refusing to do much of anything in my bark mix, was thinking about switching it over.

What? No Cymbidiums on the s/h plant list! Well I must admit I never added my plants to that list so that is my own fault. I have several cymbidiums in s/h culture and they love it! I even have a sprouted back bulb putting out it's second growth currently. The only problem I have had is that I left my cymbidiums outside and the raccoons decided to play with a few of them....I lost two and was able to save the other 3 or so I have and they have been slow to recover...but they are coming around finally.....I just can't provide them with enough light to bloom them or the temperature drop they need since it is to cold in the winter to have them outside they must come inside, so I will probably give them away to someone local since I can't provide the proper temps and lighting that they need.

All of mine are in S/H culture. They take to it like wildfire.

(Another reason I think such lists are of little value)

I have been growing cymbids in hydroponics and s/h for about 6 or 7 years now ,and I would not grow them any other way!
