Hello,
I just bouhgt today a
Vuylstekeara yokara perfection x
Oncidium leucochilum, it came not potted and wrap, the roots were also wrap in sphaigne (I cleaned the roots) and I had to pot it.
It actually had a spike with flower buds. I was not sure what to do, pot it in regular medium and wait for the right time to transfert it to semi S/H culture or just do so right a way since it had to be potted anyways. As I was told the roots always have to be keep damp I believed it would adapt easily to S/H. That It would be safe to put it in the S/H way.
But now I fell insecure about my choice. I do have proper mix for Oncidium, should I repot tomorrow and wait until after the flowering periods is over to conver it to S/H ?
Here is a few pictures.
