Original seedling plug stuck in roots

So I repotted my Wilsonara "eye candy" today. Pulled out enough moss for 3 plants, but left behind a spongy plug near the center of the base of the plant. To many roots intertwined in there. Anyone pot their plants in s/h with this thing still attached?

Yes, I leave it alone. I don't think it's worth the trouble to take it out. The roots in that plug will eventually die, anyway.
