Frogs in outdoor semi hydro?

My semi hydro phals overheated in outdoor Florida plastic pots, so emergency repot into clay. I've known for a while that we had frogs hanging around, but as I was pulling the community pot apart, I found lots of frog eggs. Does anyone have experience with your semi hydro as wildlife habitat? I fixed those spots as best I could and left the rest alone.

I don't have semi-hydro but I do have plants that sit in saucers of water. This makes a nice home for mosquitoes so I have to buy mosquito dunks. Frogs eggs would be welcome!

I'm trying to figure out just how the tadpoles will be able to survive in the saucers.

I can't tell from your post the type of frog, but I don't think there are any Florida that don't require their tadpoles to stay in water for less that a few weeks. If you want to keep them alive, keep the saucer wet the way it was when you found them. Or you can look for some other shallow source of water tp put them in.
I just re-read your post and you don't make any mention of saucers full of water. Did you find them in and amongst the expanded clay balls of your semi/hydro setup? If so, I would guess these are not frog eggs.

Yes, they were in the Leca, where I also have some grown frogs living (I don't know what kind). What else might they be? They look like little membrane balls with Googley eyes. I figured after the eggs hatched, I might take the top later of Leca and leave the bottom till the cold months made them leave. I'm a little creeped out now that you say they might not be frogs

Sounds like frog eggs. Funny it seems so late for them to be hatching now. We didn't have any this year but the last two years we had enough rain to fill up our usually dry pond and the frogs came out and we had thousands of tad poles. Then of course we are a slave to the pond having to fill it up every day so the tad poles don't dry up and die.

You will know soon enough as they seem to hatch fairly fast.
