Anybody do up their compots into S/H???

I can only talk for Cymbids, the plants are potted into 50mm pots and placed onto trays which hold about 5mm of plain mater I try and keep the air around them at about 18 centigrade they are watered twice a day with plain water also at a temp of 18 degrees. Air movement at this stage is very important , so a small fan wafting air over the tops of the plants ,wiil do I think enclosing the plants in a humidity dome could be problematic . I also protect the plants from very bright light for a week or two and then gradually increase the light over a few weeks . The plants are only introduced to a very week fertilizer after 3 weeks

As I grow in a reasonably humid greenhouse, I don't do anything special most of the time. However, when I have deflasked stuff and kept them under lights in the house where it is dry, I merely invert a clear plastic bag and put it over the large compot for a while.

Update : Hey this is working pretty well with these Rhynchostylis gigantea babies I got from Troy. I did some on little tree fern chunks with moss too and they look OK to but the S/H is sure easier. Thanks everybody!!!! I'm starting to LOVE S/H for more stuff all the time.

Hey All,
It has been almost two months now and all is going well.
I put the two bulbo's flasks contents into their own squat pot filled large PA and then filled up the edges with the PA. They are all doing very well even the very small plants that were at the edge of the flask are doing well, though they are still way smaller than the other more vigerious plants, I don't expect them to ever catch up, I am interested if they will continue to grow... maybe miniture bulb's?
Now that the weather is warming up and they days are becoming longer I am starting to see them realy fatten up their little bulbs, and gain some height.

I'm not sure at what stage I should seperate them up into smaller groups though...any thoughts?

Also I have scored the other flasks with a glass cutter along the bottom edge... I am hoping that it will break much easier and cleaner than when I just wacked the bottom with a hammer until it broke.
