my first S/H!

I just moved my vuyl. plant into S/H from bark. So how long do i keep it in the shade and in a bag?? The thing had a whole bunch of roots to begin with (all nice and solid, as opposed to my phal disaster) and is growing new ones right now.

If the root system is solid to start with, and it's growing new roots as well, there's no need for the bag at all.

The concept of shade is to prevent excessive heat stress on the plant while it gets established, but again, based upon your description, I'd stick it right back where it was.
