I have two plants from Orchids SA and they are strong and got them in great condition. There must be another reason why yours is not doing well - have you been previously successful with Angraecum and Gongora culture? It usually takes me a while to figure out what a new plant wants

Oh, I am not blaming them at all! I know Angraecum is not the easiest, but it did start dying the very next day. Took a very long time, but eventually I had to give up.

I am adamant not to loose the Gongora! Such a beautiful orchid.

When I brought our Bratonia home from them , she did take a good while to adapt to Gauteng weather, now it's been over two months and only last week I got new growth.
Ah, I really hope your Gongora makes it! It's such a beautiful plant, would be a shame!

Me too! The deep water culture is the last resort. I have removed most of the rot and treating it with Hydrogen peroxide every 3 days to make sure the rot does not spread. Apparently this way the water culture flushes out all rot and fungi.

Hold thumbs!

I really wish you good luck! I feel like we've all been there, struggling for our babies
Just make sure you don't use too high % of that peroxide, so you don't do more harm than good!

I did grow mine inside the house the first year, did dk very good misted daily, watered weekly. Put on some of the heaters. Did good till the second year in the greenhouse, no heating, too much water lost 10 plants.
Now this year, heating, less water much better.
