You can also use lava rock for this, in fact I like it better! If you ever tip a pot over you don't have to chase it all over. It is also MUCH cheaper, you can buy it at garden centers or big box stores here in the US, I don't know what you have there...Jean

I have found some online suppliers after searching.

After some research I am experimenting with deep water culture on my dying Gongora Galeata...

It has been 4 months and it has slowly declined... First pic is the day I received it.

First the leaves dropped, then one PB browned, and the next.

But last month I spotted new growth!!! Just to watch it brown and rot again See last two pics.

I do water it only from the bottom, so no idea what could be the problem. It has now been "deep water cultured" and I am anxiously watching.

Orchids SA. The Angraecum Lemforde White beauty I received along with this one died almost immediately.

What would you suggest I do? It keeps sending out new growths, so it must be salvageable.

I have never ordered from them... they have a good plant catalogue...

For the Angreacum it should have been poor packaging, not giving you the most healthy plants, in the future try some from Afriorchids or Plantae.

It could survive from making a lot of new growths, mine is in a hanging basket, from a member of our society... think she also got it from Afriorchids.

Try not to give little nor to much water, i spray the moss on the outside once a week and let the humidity do the rest

Thanks. As I said, it is in deep water culture now, so I will give it a month or so to adapt.

Love Plantae! Went out to their nursery last month, came back bankrupt!
