Default moss in S/H

I was watering one of my dendros that is in S/H and noticed that moss is growing in the pot. This isn't the algae that grows in the bottom but the fuzzy moss found in the yard. It is in about 25% of the pot. What should I do about it? The plant is doing well other wise but I think this will clog the pot.

Leave it of you like it. I purposefully propagate moss in all of my pots because I love the look of moss! Do you not like it?

The presence of moss indicates that the media has great growing conditions. However, you're right to be concerned about it preventing good air circulation within the pot. I'd just cull some every now and then to keep good flow around the roots.

I'm not sure how big of a deal the moss is re air circulation....besides it's when you water an sh plant that they get good air circ by flushing the pot. I would not worry about it.

Errr, good air circulation is supposed to happen all the time and is the main reason s/h works. Otherwise the roots are wet all the time. Some moss is not only good, but great. Too much moss will cause problems.

I'm not sure how I would cull some of the moss. The surface of the Leca doesn't show any moss except for a thin line of it around the plastic and the leca. The remainder of it is in the pot (below the surface) going to just above the water line.
Pilot, I like the look of moss to but have never tried to grow it before. I think generally my pots tend to stay drier than moss would like. This moss popped up on its own. Right now I think I will watch it because the plant is doing better than the other three orchids I have in S/H.

Yeah moss is pretty nice to see. It does denote a high level of quantity growing conditions. I have a pot that is so full of moss I can take bunches of it to spawn elsewhere and it just fills back in. The plant does great in it.
