Default Begginer S/H Question

I recently acquired some Primeagra, and promptly potted a few orchids in it. I soaked the medium for 24 hours in a mixture of rainwater and distilled water. I did not purchase any rooting hormone, but am wondering if I can perhaps get some and use it when watering my plants. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Also, how long should I wait before I begin to fertilize?

Don't worry about the rooting hormone. Unless your plants are in bad shape, it's more of an insurance policy that necessity.

I feed everything at every watering, and see no issues with starting to feed plants right after repotting.

Cool....Thanks for the suggestions. I will give updates! Non orchid related: I stuck a pomegranate seedling and a small fuscia plant in the s/h mix as well. I probobly should have waited to order some fine primagra, but so far the plants seem to be doing just fine. I plan to use these two plants as Bonsai trees somewhere down the line and am intersted to see if I can achieve better root spread in the primeagra than if I had just left them in pro mix.
