I think you can use it in very dilute quantities, but it can be VERY destructive if you don't use it properly. Honestly, I've never used it so I don't know much beyond that.

Doesn't look like anything to worry about to me. A few dead roots aren't unusual and neither is a small amount of white fuzzy stuff. The last pic shows some dark patches at the bottom of the bulbs. Is this an artifact of the picture or are they actually dark at the base?

you think from the pictures, i may be over reacting or should i do something about it, because i have OCD, i tend to over react to the slightest of things wrong with my orchids. lol

the last picture is because of the flash on my camera making it look much darker than it is towards the bottom of the pic, but there are dark/black patches on the plant, the pebble centre has a chip out of it making it look black.

Good air movement! If that fails, Physan is very effective.

Well, I don't grow much else besides orchids, but I believe Physan is used for many plant types.

I'll look it up to see if it works on veggies and fruits. Thank you.

The white deposits on the roots and leca are mineral/salt.
This build up usually occurs when you use hard water, a lack of humidity, or keeping the leca too dry.
It is ugly and new roots will burn when they touch it. It's not too big of a problem to correct: Flush the pot more often, increase humidity, or repot in fresh leca and be sure the leca doesn't dry out.
