Keeping primeagra intact while flushing
Anyone out there have trouble with keeping the prime agra in the pot when flushing? I have a vague idea of finding some sort of 'cover' to keep on the surface, so that when I have to tip the pot to empty the 'old' water, I don't lose any pellets. Seems I might have read somewhere here where someone came up with something that worked.

Burlap? Allows for ventilation, light, roots, and maybe even parts of the plant to pass/grow through. It's not toxic and extremely cheap also.
It's the first thing I came up with, so take the suggestion with a grain of salt.

what about wire like floral wire then tape it down around the edges of the pot. Would that work?

Tin foil with a hole for the water? Reuse/discard after use.

Wrap in mesh/netting (the kind used for Babybel cheese bags, Trader Joe's onion bags, tulle fabric, fishnet stockings, hair nets, etc), gather at top of pot-around the plant, close loosely with twist ties.

I usually top dress with sphag whenever I got pots that are prone to tipping and/or losing media. But I'm assuming you're growing s/h...not sure if sphag on top is a great idea for that.

Why are you tipping the plant over? The drainage holes should be emptying the water.

^ in S/H, my understanding is that there are drain holes at about an inch or so above the bottom and the point is to keep a resovoir (spelling?) of water at the bottom unlike with bark/moss where you want it all to drain. This person wants to empty out the old probably gross water and give is fresh water at the bottom. In order to do that, one must tip.
