Would love to see a picture of pearcei and size of pot, how often you have to water it, etc. I don't have one (yet) but I'm told they basically need to be hooked up to a hose in order to thrive.

I am glad you did S/H for your plants. Phrags are mostly found on riverbeds they are sometimes immersed underwater when the river floods during monsoon rains....then they are dependent on morning dew during dry seasons....

Well... this is one plant, that split into two. The other 160 or so others are still the same! Time will tell though. I have another couple phrags that need to be re-potted very soon anyway, I might put them in s/h this weekend. My original plan was to have five or so as a starter-run.

Looking good. S/H is great for Phrags. I have two in it and another I really think I should move to S/H.

Have stuff shipped to a business address - it saves several dollars.

Don't do it, Bud! The fumes are to be avoided. A drill is a better way to go. A stepped "Uni-Bit" is the best choice in drill bits.
Incidentally, the very first S/H pot was a container brought home with won-ton soup in it.
And to encourage you to buy-, rather than make the pots, be aware that they are produced for me at BARC Services, by developmentally disabled folks for whom that is their job. They package the PrimeAgra, too.

I will note here that Ray is about the fairest in the land when it comes to service and shipping prices and terms, and I'm a very happy customer of his and will continue to be. My creativeness extends to wanting to make a "cool" pot - not one that is colder - one that is "chilll" or "rad" or whatever other term I should use here to get my point across!

Any plastic container can be used (glass too, but more difficult to drill).
I routinely cruise Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, etc., for housewares, trash cans, and the like.
As soon as they come in from the manufacturer, and the folks at BARC can drill them, I will be offering a new 4.5" squat container - perfect for small plants, including African violets.
