Soaking new LECA

HI all, I am about to dip my toe into S/H. I have my leca rinsed off. (reminds me of washing aquarium stone). It is soaking in tap water. I plan to soak for 24 hours. Do I need to add bleach or Epsom salt to the water?

Check the SH forum on this board. Great source of information on transitioning to SH . Most of my collection is growing in SH and I found Ray's instructions very clear

If it's unused LECA, there is very likely no need for disinfection with bleach. The manufacturing temperatures are certainly high enough to eliminate anything organic, and does little to support pathogens in the bag.

The addition of calcium nitrate and/or magnesium sulfate is not essential, can't hurt anything, and might be a good thing. Let your conscience be your guide.

Thanks Ray, I have started reading the threads from the beginning. I figured that way I would have a better understanding of where S/H started what didn't work and where it is headed.
