S/H Pot holes PLEASE HELP!!!
Default S/H Pot holes PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello Everyone,

I've been reading recently about S/H and i wanna grow all my orchids in them i bought all the stuff needed but i'm wondering i know that we should drill two holes 6mm next to each other but whats the distance between those two holes?



I'll be grateful if u could help me,

About 1/2 inch apart seems to work. You want to have them close enough together that the leca can't plug both holes at the same time.

Actually, I prefer as close to each other as possible without intersecting.

My thinking is that sometimes a pellet of LECA will block a hole, slowing the drainage and flushing. If the holes are far apart, that can also happen to the other one, but if they are close, the pellet blocking one will prevent another from blocking the other.
