Semi-Hydro + Cymbidiums + Nutricote + Timed/Slow Release Fertilzer + Advice

Your Cymbidiums look great, are you really growing them S/H or the traditional way and just using LECA? Your pots look like regular plastic pots and saucers with drainage holes in the bottom. How did you plug the bottom holes so they don't leak? How far up the side of the pot did you drill your drain holes? I'm looking at moving some of mine into S/H, so I'm looking at large pots like yours.

i am growing in S/H, all my orchids are.
i plugged the bottom holes with glue and plastic hole covers.
i drilled about 1/4 from the top distance

instead of nutricote try dynamite, may be easier to find.

About 1/4 the distance looks like it's working perfectly.
