Yeah, patients isn't an issue I just want her to live. Her newest pseudobulb is mature so I imagine she will be sending out a new one soon. Once the new one starts to grow I like to consider it a second chance. The 2 back bulbs that weren't attached have actually plumped up since going in sphag in a bag and I might try to fit her in my bigger terrarium cause its humid and warm in there from the lights and the lid I made. Hopefully the back bulbs will do something too. That will give me 3 plants lol. The big one I have is getting really big, it's sent out multiple new growths all over the plant so I may have to divide it to to keep it manageable. I'll likely wait till all the new pseudobulbs have matured and start sending out new growths and see if I can trade a division for another plant. On a side note, would anyone from Ontario canada like to trade a sharry baby division for something else? Lol

I transplanted a Sharry Baby where I cut off all the roots and it came through fine.

It's in this thread:

Cheers.

I rescued one by putting it in s/h. All I have is lava rock, but it works fine. It was early last spring that I got it, and it is doing very well.

I used a Sharry Baby as a guinea pig for an over potting experiment:

Back when it was a new hybrid, I bought one in a 2" pot from Ellenbergers in upstate NY while up there on business. Brought it home in my brief case, and ended up putting it into a 12" diameter x 18" tall florists cooler bucket converted into an S/H pot.

It grew and grew and grew for three or four years without blooming, then threw up more than a dozen spikes, and had several hundred flowers. When returning it lot the greenhouse, I stepped in a hole in the yard (thanks, dogs), and broke the pot. I hardly lost a pellet, as the entire pot was a giant root mass.

That's interesting. I put mine in a fairly large container because I know they can grow vigorously and get very large. I shouldn't need to repot too soon.

She seems to be doing ok in my clay balls and rockwool mixture. And I actually think the back bulb has plumped a bit but I'm not sure. I'll have to take pics to compare before and after to be sure. As far as the 2 back bulbs that were not attached they are in sphag in a bag and have plumped a lot, I don't know if they will do anything in there but if I can get them nice and plump I may try to put the back bulbs in semi hydro as a test and see if anything happens with them. Depending on how the rockwool mixture does over the next little while I may leave it as is or switch to SH. She certainly isn't going downhill, I guess the deciding factor would be if that back bulb really is plumping then there is no reason to switch her right away
