First S/H

I just started my first s/h plant - a cattleya seedling that went from sphagnum to Hydroballs (a LECA I found in a reptile store, looks just like Prime Agra but is made in Norway). It's been growing steadily, but had completely overgrown its little 2" pot, and the aereal roots had started degrading. So I hope it's a good candidate. I have its flask mate still in the vendor's 2" pot, also overgrown, that I plan to put in a more conventional CHC-perlite-charcoal mix. We'll see which one does better!

I don't have a heat mat, but I'm hoping that a catt will not mind a temp drop due to evaporation. Just waiting for the Kelpmax now.
