Kelpak + Phalaenopsis + Semi-Hydro + Results + Pics Male
Thumbs up Kelpak + Phalaenopsis + Semi-Hydro + Results + Pics

Hello,

Wanted to share with you the results of my experiment with my only Phal, It was moved into semi-hydro on 25-2-2012.

At the beginning I used only my regular fertilizer taHtso, then I bought Kelpak on 5-5-2012, on 6-5-2012 I started using Kelpak at 14 day interval, at 1:500 ratio, then 1:250 ratio.

First bloom was on 22-7-2012, the blooms are still strong until today 10 weeks in total.

The Phal put out 4 new leaves, and countless new roots and is still putting out new leaves and roots while in bloom.

I am also using Kelpak on my cymbidiums, oncidium, cambria, calanthe and pleiones.

What a positively perfect bloom spike! I don't think I've ever seen one so straight with the flowers so symmetrical! Lovely. I hope mine turn out as well as yours so obviously has!

So pretty and healthy! Your pot looks different from what I used for semi-hydro. Do you always keep some water in the dish? It seems that you plant like kelpak a lot. I have never use Kelpak and would love to try it if this makes such different result.
