Have you tried dollar stores? I found spools of it in 2 of them.

Hi Stephanie,
Last winter I converted a a Den. Enobi Purple 'Spash' to SH which is a Phal type hybrid. The Spring pseudobulb blasted its spike but now it is bloom off of one of the oldest back bulbs. Not all the old roots rotted, btw. I try to post a pic this weekend.

Thanks Trdyl! That would be awesome if you would post a picture. Even more awesome that all the roots didn't rot. I really want to do well with these dends and have them bloom out for me.

Stephanie,
Here is my Den. Enobi Purple 'Splash'. It is still a very young plant. I can't wait to see what it will produce when it grows up.

I felt the same way when I first saw this cultivar in bloom.
I got my plant last January from Ebay seller roddenim. Up until recently Norman's Orchids(orchids.com) had them listed on their website. You might try contacting them to see if they have any left.

For what it's worth...I grow a single dendrobium in small white rocks, I think they are called "pearl pebbles." It is growing just fine, and is developing a spike...BettyE

I agree. I have one mounted on a rock sitting in a dish of pea gravel (your pearl pebbles sound prettier). The roots have gone into the stones and it's really growing.
