Maintaining wet-line

Just transitioned some orchids to S/H with PrimeAgra from Ray. The Leca was washed and soaked for a total of 48 hours before I used it.

I noticed that the one inch wet-line was down to almost nothing in one of my pot (although the Leca is still wet at the bottom) after two days; most likely due to air circulation in my room.

Is it important for me to maintain higher wet-line at all time? (that is with water until my next weekly fertilizing)

I think it depends on the genera that you are growing. My cattleyas are allowed to go almost dry, as they have daily periods of drying in nature, while phals and paphs do not. I try to keep the Phrags more moist than all of them.

What's great about s/h is that you can't really over water you plants. The excess just drains out! In my set up, watering of mounted plants occurs every day and some invariably gets on the potted ones to, no one seems to mind.
