Okay, if all goes as planned, here's a picture of two in the "modified" SH:

Well, GOOD GOLLY Miss Molly! It actually worked.
Okay, I started out with several Tolumnia I purchased in bloom. Most things around my hacienda suffer from benign neglect... I'm a bit over-extended on the 24 hours I have in a day and sidetrack easily.
SO I tried misting, I took them out of pots and tried mounting, then misting. Not enough consistency on my part.
Next tried putting them into a fern tree pot, filled with LECA. Too much air, couldn't remember to check water often enough. (Fan in window where orchids live, always on.)
So I took two of these "holey" orchid pots, filled them with LECA, and put the remains of the Tolumnia in the pots. The pots sit in about 2" of water (thus the outer container) and when I flush them, I just take them out of water container and flush, then put back into water well.
When I started these, I had a few dead/dying leaves left, and a few teeny tiny green roots. You can still see some of the dead stuff where I haven't cut it back yet.
Now I'll try to post a couple of closer shots. And BTW, I'm a very poor photographer, and only have a cell phone for a camera. Bear with me.

This one you can see quite a bit of dead leaves that I haven't trimmed off yet. Waiting to see if something else decides to grow, as in second picture below.
And this one, see the tiny little one coming up? There was barely any plant there when it decided to poke its head up and wave hello.
